An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Monday, happening 5 times
These classes are available for youth ages 12-29 (and their guardian/caregiver(s) to attend as applicable), and intended for individuals who want help managing difficult emotions and/or who have struggled with self-harm & thoughts of suicide. The class is lecture-style versus participatory (youth don’t need to worry about doing group work or speaking aloud, but there will be opportunities throughout each session to ask questions confidentially to facilitators). Each class teaches a different set of DBT skills, related to mindfulness; interpersonal effectiveness; emotion regulation; and distress tolerance.
Upcoming DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy) condensed skill class, held over 5 Mondays from 4:00-5:30pm, through Zoom (Oct. 19th, Oct. 26th, Nov. 2nd, Nov. 9th, & Nov. 16th).
