Programs & Services

Indigenous Health core icon

Our Indigenous Health Program integrates culturally appropriate resources into NorWest programs through:

  • Individual/family counselling
  • Home visits
  • Medicine wheel assessments
  • Advocacy
  • Cultural programming

Details:

We consult regularly with the local Indigenous community to identify priority health needs and link with Indigenous organizations to address socioeconomic and other issues.

Our aim is to promote client access to culturally appropriate resources, increase involvement of our Indigenous community in addressing determinants of Indigenous health and to create a holistic, community approach to responding to health needs based on the medicine wheel.
